Curriculum
Alexandre Wagner (b. 1986, Belo Horizonte, Brazil) lives and works in Sao Paulo. He took his undergraduation in Visual Arts from the Federal University of Minas Gerais having majored in painting, in 2011. In this same year he moved to Sao Paulo where he started working as an assistant to the plastic artist Nuno Ramos until the mid year of 2015. From 2014 until 2016 he also worked as an assistant to plastic artist Paulo Pasta - activities he kept in parallel with his atelier production. Since 2013 he has participated in several collective exhibitions, with highlights to the eleventh edition of the “Abre Alas”, public notice held at the Galeria Gentil Carioca, the collective “Oito artistas” (Eight Artists),at the Mendes Wood DM gallery in February 2016 and also the collective “Um desassossego – 20 pintores” (An unrest – 20 painters) with the curatorship of Germana Monte-Mór, in the Estação gallery in November 2016.
