Camila Elis captures complex scenes through rhythmic and gestural abstract compositions. In her large-scale oil paintings with velvety texture, the surface functions as a field of negotiation between different color regimes. The washed background, in light tones, is overlaid by glazes of vivid and saturated spots or by dense and deep hues. Between layers of the unconscious and energetic contrasts, free forms emerge, floating in constant transmutation, in a continuous whirlpool that sets into motion a myriad of sensations and meanings. 

She has held solo exhibitions at Galeria Mamute (2019, 2022, 2025); at Residência Linha (2019); and at Casa de Cultura Mário Quintana (2023). Additionally, she has participated in duo-shows with Camila Proto (2016, Espaço Cultural Joaneta, Picada Café); with Kauê Nery (2017, Espaço Cultural CEEE Érico Veríssimo, Porto Alegre); with Fernanda Valadares (2022, Galeria Mamute, Porto Alegre); and with Renan Soares (2024, Fundação Iberê Camargo, Porto Alegre).

Among the collective exhibitions in her career, the following stand out: “Entrelínguas” (2015, Mostra Internacional de Artes Visuais, Pelotas); “Pintura é presságio” (2019, Paço Municipal, Porto Alegre); “Elogio à Pintura” (2019, Galeria Mamute, Porto Alegre); “Pode o infinito caber no vazio” (2023, São Paulo); “Sobre planetas, Idílios e miudezas” (2023, AM Galeria, São Paulo); “Polvo” (2023, Espaço das Artes da Universidade de São Paulo, São Paulo); “O Som que o silêncio esconde” (2024, Galeria Mamute, São Paulo); “Pintura: permeabilidades imaginativas” (2025, Museu de Arte Leopoldo Gotuzzo, Pelotas); and “Zênite” (2025, Galeria Mamute, São Paulo).

 She also participated in residencies at Fundação Iberê Camargo (2023, Porto Alegre) and at Ateliê Espace Copies (2023, Projeto Curatorial dos Mares, Marseille, France). Her work is part of the collection of the Museu de Arte Contemporânea do Rio Grande do Sul – MACRS (Porto Alegre).
